Tamara grew up in the colourful Caribbean Island of Trinidad, where she credits much of her influence coming from the beauty of the land and the vibrancy of the multicultural population. This combined with her father’s knowledge as a technical draftsman and her sewing, quilting mother who both encouraged her creativity and passion for design. Tamara followed her passion studying textiles, graphic design & art history, before rediscovering her love of surface patterns, when in 2011 she quickly became addicted to creating designs specifically for fabric. Recently Tamara has licensed a number of collections for a line of children’s clothing, with Spring marking her first venture into the world of being an exclusive licensed fabric designer with Michael Miller Fabrics. Now heavily inspired by her two imaginative children Tamara produces designs aimed towards children, with creative and colourful illustrations and patterns. At Fifi’s Fabricology we are happy to feature Tamara Kate’s creative energy with her collections adding a vibrant and youthful dynamic to complement your next quilting project.
