Tilda Fabrics were born in 1999, birthed by a Norwegian designer, Tone Finnanger. They are best known for their style of dolls and animals, described as ‘perfectly imperfect’ and ‘whimsically romantic’. With a graphic design and classical painting background, Tone’s lifestyle very much influenced the beautiful creations she made, and brought it to the well-know and widely loved product that it is today. Tilda however also create high quality fabrics, available all around the world, including Australia. The products have a very vintage feel, with characters that resonate similar to Beatrix Potter. Their fabrics use a lot of soft floral patterns, with blue, green, pink and red colours. Popular vintage designs include teacup inspired themes, antique wallpaper and oriental pink and blues. The small team of Tilda work in the Norwegian studio on designs, with backgrounds in fashion, interior decorating, product development, brand management and photography boosting their ability to produce high-quality unique fabrics. Tilda products are available not directly from their website but available in Australia from here (http://goo.gl/uWOV6I).
